Courtney Clark, Sin 7 Salon

Courtney is a young and inspirational entrepreneur.  With a zest for life, and a passion for growing her business, Courtney demonstrates an inner confidence and entrepreneurial skills with every decision she makes about her business.  Since 2010, when she opened Sin 7 Salon with her previous business partner, she has been dedicated to continually grow the profitability and reach of the Salon.  In 2016, she realized she became the sole owner of the Salon, realizing one of her entrepreneurial dreams in the process.


Her vision for the company, what is possible, and how she will achieve these outcomes is clear and her action steps are well-thought out.  Dedicated and motivated by her desire to create a positive and supportive work environment for her team, Courtney has continually pushed to advance her business and stylist skills.  In 2013, she became a Hair Colour Certified Education for Aveda’s national network of salons.  She is committed to ongoing growth and personal development for both herself and her team – and is strives to always provide customers with an amazing salon experience.

Courtney’s zest for life encompasses more than just business.  In her spare time you can find her hanging with her family, walking the Seawall, or cooking up a storm in the kitchen. 


Carol Lange, Owner Nurse Next Door Homecare - Maple Ridge


Carol is a passionate entrepreneur who is driven to create a business where “caring” is at the heart of the business.   This heart-centred, but very focused entrepreneur is a master of planning, goals setting, and measuring outcomes – and taking care of her team and customers. 


With over 25 years working in the healthcare industry and a product development and sales background, Carol is understands how vital it is to always be assessing the return on an investment of time, energy and money.  However, she doesn’t get bogged down in these details.  She uses the resulting information to inform decision-making, streamline processes, and implement continuous improvement. 


Like many women entrepreneurs, Carol skillfully manages her personal life (mother and wife), her business, and is an active member of several local community groups including the Maple Ridge Pitt Meadows Katzie Seniors Network and past board member with Family Education and Support Centre.  Committed to making a difference, her focus is on helping local seniors receive the care and attention they deserve and need to live comfortably and safely in their own home.
