Angie McLeod, proprietor of HIP Strategic Consulting, has over ten years experience in the field of community and business development. Her experience ranges from employment / career development, to adult education, to small business development and involves partnering with a wide range of stakeholder groups. Angie takes pride in producing accurate, in-depth, and objective research for comprehensive business and marketing plans that enable clients to make informed management decisions, secure funding, and build and maintain relationships with community partners. She is dedicated to meeting identified project objectives and timelines through a disciplined approach to project management. She is recognized as a resourceful, enthusiastic individual who establishes and builds strong long-term relationships with clients, business associates, and government agencies. As a home based entrepreneur Angie enjoys the flexibility that enables her to balance work, pleasure, and family time. She is married and the mother a three-year old daughter, Cassie, whose energy and enthusiasm for life keeps Angie and her husband, Dan, on their toes. Angie is an active community member involved in the local Toastmaster's group (Positively Speaking, Maple Ridge, BC - Club 8116), a volunteer instructor with the United Way of the Fraser Valley Board Basics and Leadership Development Programs, and a recent participant in the BC Lung Association's Bicycle Trek for Life and Breathe (2004) a 200 km road ride from Surrey to Cultus Lake, BC. Angie enjoys spending time with her daughter & husband, walking her German Shepherd (Aba - named after the musical group), cycling the roads around Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows (especially those that lead to parks where Cassie can play), reading good books (business, personal growth, and novels), and chatting with close friends in person and online. She challenges herself to learn one new thing each day and to always look at the positive side of things.
